Elise is a Chicago based artist who uses intaglio techniques and collage to make work that explores the separation of the body from the mind and the ways mental illness can turn us against ourselves. She has always been interested in the abject and the strange and embraces their influence. Elise graduated in 2016 with a BA in Studio Art from Smith College where she regularly curated and showed in an underground art gallery called First Fridays. Her work was used as the backdrop for Jess Beliles 16' senior thesis dance performance "Between Two Worlds" and has been displayed at Fulton Street Collective (Chicago) open houses.
